AP Lab Information

In recent years, the AP Chemistry Exam has placed more emphasis on lab experience. For example, each exam has a free-response question that each learner must answer. With this in mind, the AP Chemistry course has 3 semester blocks where one block is assigned for laboratory experience solely and where the other two are assigned for all other aspects of the course. Each block meets for 68 minutes and there are approximately 60 blocks in a semester. I will, however, “steal” some lab classes (approximately 10 classes) to work on the “Predicting Reaction” section of the AP exam. Therefore, 50 classes will be assigned solely for laboratory work.
