AP Lab : Relating Moles to Coefficient of a Chemical Reaction

Calculations

1. Find the mass of copper reacted
2. Find the number of moles of copper reacted
3. Find the mass of iron produced
4. Find the number of moles of iron produced

Questions

1. Write the correct balanced chemical reaction (including water as a product).
2. Prove by calculating (limiting reactant problem) that iron is the limiting reactant not copper (II) sulfate pentahydrate. (Also include a sentence stating your finding.)
3. What was your observation of the filtrant (liquid part that goes through the filter paper) when you filtered out the copper. How does that affect your results?
