Each group will choose an experiment that can be done at home with household chemicals. This lab will focus on one chemical concept that a 1st Year high school chemistry student (in Duxbury, 10th grader) would be studying in this course.<br> <br> The project components include:<br> <u>Chemical concept stuff</u><br> 1. Notes, on computer or handwritten then made into a pdf document<br> 2. A handout of additional notes for students while/after they watch <nowiki>YouTube</nowiki> video.<br> 3. Example of work to solve/explain problem/questions for the chemical concept that is being investigated in the lab<br> 4. A <nowiki>YouTube</nowiki> video of explaining the notes, example of work<br> 5. Homework set with another document with answers (if it math that requires showing work, can put answer at bottom of homework page<br> 6. Another document with 1 - 3 questions that are either multiple choice, true/false or fill in the blank (that I can convert into a Schoology quiz).<br> <br> <u>Lab Stuff</u><br> 7. Pre-lab notes that reference above (links via technology). <br> 8. Lab manual document that include #7 above, objective, procedure and explanation of creating data table and any calculation/etc for the lab<br> 9. A <nowiki>YouTube</nowiki> video on lab set-up, safety, etc.<br> 10. A document with 1 -2 questions that are either multiple choice, true/false or fill in the blank (that I can convert into Schoology quiz). This Schoology quiz will be given <b>BEFORE</b> the student starts the lab.<br> 11. A set of quesstions/problems for post lab information that is about the lab, extension from the lab and relating back to notes/work from the chemical concept being studied.<br> 12. Another with 3 -4 questions that are either multiple choice, true/false or fill in the blank (that I can convert into Schoology quiz). This Schoology quiz will be given <b>AFTER</b> the student starts the lab.<br> <br> <br>
