The Periodic Table (PT) is organized so that you can "see" trends for specific physical/chemical properties as you:<br> <br> a) Go Down a Column (also called Group or Family)<br> <br> b) Across a row/period (from L to R on PT)<br> <br> <br> The properties are:<bR> <br> <u>Coulombic Force (CF)</u>:<br> <br> Definition: Attractive force between the positive nucleus and valence electrons (ve<sup>-</sup>). CF is a function:<br> a) Energy level of ve<sup>-</sup> (i.e. distance ve<sup>-</sup> is to nucleus).
