<b><u>Calculation Section</u></b><br> <br> 1. For balanced net ionic reaction you made in the Pre-Lab exercise, show all work to determine the ΔHrxn for each reaction.<br> <br> 2. Using your experimental data and heat equation, determine the ΔHrxn (per kJ/mol of each reactant) for the 3 reactions (Part I, II, III from lab). Show all work.<br> <br> 3. Now you are going to compare your experimental results verse your theoretical results (you did not Pre-Lab Exercise) for Reaction 3.<br> <br> a. Experimental information. You are going to write down the first two reactions and their ΔHrxn. Then you are going to use Hess' Law to determine the ΔHrxn for Reaction 3. <br> <br> b. Theoretical information. You are going to write down the first two reactions and their ΔHrxn calculated from book/theoretical value. Then you are going to use Hess' Law to determine the ΔHrxn for Reaction 3.<br> <br> <br> <br> <b><u>Questions Section</u></b><br> <br> 1. Compare the Experimental results for Reaction 3 with the theoretical results for this reaction.<br> <Br> <br> 2. Does the results from your comparison in Q1 support Hess' Law? Explain<br> <br> <br> 3. If you recorded the wrong final temperature since that the recorded temperature is less than the actual final temperature, explain how that affects the ΔHrxn for that reaction? <br> <br> 4. What are the major error in this experiment and give one way to reduce this function to limit error next time you do this lab.<br> <br> <br>
