Calculate the total amount of energy needed to convert 0.500 kg of ice at -20.degC to water vapor (called steam) at 250.degC? Please divide the problem into the appropriate changes (i.e. ice at -20.degC to ice at 0.degC, etc.) and calulate energy for that process and then sum them all to get total amount.

cice (specific heat of solid water,ice) = 2.1J/g-degC
cwater (specific heat of liquid water, water) = 4.2J/g-degC
csteam (specific heat of vapor water, steam) = 6.02E3J/g-degC
Heat of Fusion, degHfusion = 6.02E3J/g (fusion is real name for melting)
Heat of Vaporization, degHvap = 733E3J/g (vaporization is real name for boiling)

After doing the calculations below, use a "inch" or "centimeter" ruler to make a simple graph Temp vs. Energy. Use the common temp of 0degC and 100degC as melting and boiling point of water. (i.e. for energy scale, x-axis, so many KJ or J equals 1 inch or 1 cm). You can figure it out. Make graph on back of this page
