The Kelvin Scale is the temperature scale that uses 0 Kelvin as absolute zero, the lowest teperature that is theoretically attainable. The divisions on the Kelvin scale are the same size as those on the Celsius scale. The value of absolute zero, which is the freezing point of water in Kelvins, is estimated to be 273.15 K (or 273 K) and the boiling point of water is 373.15 K (or 373 K).

The symbol for a Kelvin teperature is K, with no degree symbol. For example, a Kelvin temperature of 273 would be presented as 273 K.
