Stoichiometry

Stoichiometry is the name that one gives when you apply the Mole Concept into Chemical Reactions.
As you know, the Mole Wheel is specific to a given substance. The only way of going from knowledge of one substance to knowledge of another substance is thru the uses of a balanced chemical reaction. Reason: The coefficient provide the ratio (called Mole ratio) that allows you to relate knowledge of one substance (I call it the Known substance) to another substance (I call it the Unknown substance). So, Stoichiometry Wheel has 3 part:
  1. A Mole Wheel for known substance (units of known substance --> moles of known substance)
  2. Mole Ratio (need a balance chemical reaction to determine the correct Mole Ratio), (mole of known substance --> mole of unknown substance)
  3. A Mole Wheel for unknown substance (mole of unknown substance --> units of unknown substance)

The only time when you don't have these 3 step is when the information given or asked for eliminates one of the 3 steps.
