1. Average Kinetic Energy (KE) of all the particles in a substance.

3. No, temperature is the average KE of all the particles in a substance whereas heat is the total energy of all those particles in the substance.

or
since 0K = -273°C (called Absolute zero), then K scale will always be larger than °C scale, by 273. So that is how you determine if you are adding or subtracting 273.
7. original equation : K = 273 + °C
Modified equation: °C = K - 273
°C = 624K - 273 = 351 °C
or
since K is larger than °C, I need to subtract 273 from K,
°C = 624K - 273 = 351°C
