1) Will be making a 5oz solution (1oz = 30.0mL).

2) Maximum amount of solid Kool-Aid is 3.0g.

3) Assume solute (Kool-Aid) is sucrose ( C12H22O11)

4) Determine Molarity of solution and have it checked by teacher before you can make solution.

5) WHAT YOU MAKE YOU DRINK IT ALL (no throwing down sink or in trash).

You need to have read/understand general explanation of solution and how to calculate concentration for a solution. (i.e. Calculating Concentrations).

For 2021-2022 students, since it seemed that sugared drink you made in 2022 Making a Molarity Kool-Aid Solution Lab.
You are a researcher in McLeod Inc, Candy and Powdered Drink Division. Your group of 3 researchers have been given the task of "coming up" with next great sugared drink (we will call it the "Bestest Sugared Drink"). Of course as part of this task, you will need to develop the "recipe" (how much of solute/solvent to make solution) to be able to reproduce this Bestest Drink. It is assumed that the drink is NOT at the saturation point (therefore it is NOT a saturated solution but is an unsaturated solution).

Assignment/tasks
*Using the particle view of matter (i.e. Kinetic Molecular Theory), explain how sugar dissolves in water including a diagram/picture.
For 2021-2022 students, since it seemed that sugared drink you made in 2022 Making a Molarity Kool-Aid Solution Lab is a little "too strong tasting" (too much Kool-Aid solute), you will get TWO Attempts MAXIMUM to reduce the amount solute to get the "right taste". Need to do Molarity calculations for each of the attempts. REMEMBER you are making 5oz of solution. Attempt MUST BE 10.0g per 5oz. or less.
