2. Using tap water determine the height on the soda bottle that represents the volume of solution you need. 3. Add in approximately 1/4 - 1/2 water (from teacher) to the bottle. 4. Using weighing paper as funnel, add in the solid solute (do not loss any solid during transfer) 5. Swirl bottle to dissolve solid. 6. Once all solid is dissolved, add water until reach desired liquid level. 7. Put on cap and swirl again to complete dissolving. 8. Write out label (using label tape) with: a. All students initials b. Period c. Date d. Amounts of solute (with chemical symbol), and solution |
2. While one student is doing Step 1, another student will get a plastic cup. Then obtain a reference cup and put reference cup in your cup. 3. With a wax pencil (or magic marker), mark your cup for the amount of water to add. 4. Add in approximately 1/2 of the water volume via tap water (or cold water if teacher is nice). 5. Add the solid solute into your cup. 6. Dissolve solute using a wooden stirrer. 7. Once all solute is dissolved, fill rest of the water volume and do one final stirring. 8. Drink all of the solution. |

_______________ grams of _____________ you need to make a ______liter ________M solution
You need to pass in your calculations before doing lab
Directions
1. On piece of weighing paper, mass out solute.
