The learner will be able to:

1) Using your Colored Periodic Table (PT), be able to determine which elements are:
Transition Element, Inner Transition Element (also called Rare Earth Elements), Representative Elements, s-block, p-block, d-block, f-block, Metal elements, non-metal elements, semi-metals(metalliods), phase of elements (at 25degc), Lanthanoid series, Actinoids series, Alkali metals, Alkaline earth metals, Noble gases(inert gases), halogen family, nitrogen family, oxygen family, Period(row), group (family, column).

2) State/define the Modern Periodic Law and how it relates to the Periodic Table (including going down a Group/family).

3) Know the difference between Mendeleev’s Periodic Table and the Modern Periodic Table.

4) Be able to figure out the number of valence electrons, what energy level (from row of PT), and subenergy level (section of PT) for any atom based on its location on the periodic table.
5) Be able to describe and explain trends (down a group and across, L to R, a Period) on the Periodic Table for: Coulombic force (CF), atomic radii/size (AR), and Electronegativity (EN).
