You will be making bath bombs using the recipe and directions from [Instructables Making bath bomb with Epsom salt and Corn starch]. However, we will only be making 1/2 a batch.

Pre-lab Stoichiometry calculation

The above recipe (we will be using a 1/2 batch calls for 4 dry ounces (1 dry ounce = 28.35g, equals 113g) of Baking soda to be added to 2 ounces of citric acid (57g). You will also use 2 ounces of Corn Starch (57g), 2 ounces of Epsom salt (Magnesium sulfate) (57g), 1tbsp oil, 0.50 tbsp H2O</sub>1</sub> and i drop of food coloring. Problems: Determine how many grams of baking soda you need to completely react all the citric acid if you start with 57g.

















Question: Using your calculation and the information of the mass of Baking soda from the recipe, is the baking soda or citric acid going to be the Limiting reactant/reagent. Explain why including numbers from your above calculations and recipe.
