2. Conduction is heat flow through a continuous piece of matter (ie. metal frying pan).
Convection is heat flow through air or water. (ie. turkey cooking in an oven).
radiation does not need particle to move, it is simply energy in motion (not really good one).

3. Temperature is the average kinetic energy (KE) of all the particles in a substance. Temperature is not heat (which is simply a form of energy) since you can have two substance with the same temperature but have different amounts of heat (ie a glass of water and Duxbury Bay water can both be at 20deg C and they do not have amount of energy).
