Here is the answers to 2021 Review HW for Acid Base Test without Weak Acidbase and Buffer.

Part I
1) Hydrosulfuric acid, weak
2) H2Se, weak
3) Sulfuric acid, strong
4) H2SO3, weak
5) Calcium hydroxide, strong
6) H3PO4, weak
7) NH3, weak (base)
8) Carbon dioxide, non-electrolyte
9) Barium chlorite, strong (ionic compound)
10) Nitrous acid, weak

Part II
1. All solution are same molarity so difference are strong and weak and how many H+ ionizes per molecule of acid. HF is weak acid so it has highest pH, and sulfuric acid has 2 H+ per molecule so it has lowest pH.

2. pH indicator indicates a pH (actually a pH range). The weak acid, that is the indicator, changes colors.

3) 2016-2017 students do not do

4) pH = -log [H+] , pH value and [H+] are indirectly proportional. It can be show in the math by the negative sign.

Part III

1) pH = 1.988

2) 3.58E-4M

3) pH = 10.73

4) 2.74 L

5) 0.507M
