Directions

1. On piece of weighing paper, mass out solute.
2. Using tap water determine the height on the soda bottle that represents the volume of solution you need.
3. Add in approximately 1/4 - 1/2 water (from teacher) to the bottle.
4. Using weighing paper as funnel, add in the solid solute (do not loss any solid during transfer)
5. Swirl bottle to dissolve solid.
6. Once all solid is dissolved, add water until reach desired liquid level.
7. Put on cap and swirl again to complete dissolving.
8. Write out label (using label tape) with:
a. All students initials
b. Period
c. Date
d. Amounts of solute (with chemical symbol), and solution
