The learner will be able to:<br> <br> 1) Be able to define the following Vocabulary: <br> *Energy level, Subenergy level, Orbitals, Valence electrons, Core electrons, Ground state of atom, Excited state of atom, Aufbau Principle, Hund's Rule, Pauli Exclusion Principle<br> <br> 2a) Be able to explain Bohr's model of atom (called Planetary model) including what model looks like and how atoms interact with energy.<br> <br> 2b) Be able to explain what you see if you give energy to an atom.<br> <br> 3) Be able to how explain how Quantum model of atom is different from Bohr's model.<br> <br> 4) Be able to explain difference between orbitals, subenergy levels, and energy levels including where are the s-block, p-block and d-block on the Periodic Table..<br> <br> 5) Using the Periodic Table, be able to find the electron configurations of the 1st 20 elements on the Periodic Table.<br> <br> 6) Using the Periodic Table, be able to determine the number and types of valence electrons for each of the 1st 20 elements on the Periodic Table.<br> <br>
