1. Define gravity and explain what type of force it is.
2. Be able to list the four natural forces and what condition will make gravity the strongest force.
3. Be able to give the two major factors that determine the gravitational force between two bodies.
4. Be able to write the gravitational force equation including what symbols mean and their units. Also be able to do math problems on gravitational force.
5. Be able to tell me who determined the gravitational force constant G and how he did it (see textbook).
6. Be able to explain the inverse square law and how it applies to both gravity and Light Intensity from the lab.
7. Be able to explain what weight is and what weightlessness is. Also explain how your weight changes in different conditions (i.e. going up or down in elevator or astronauts in space).
8. Be able to explain why the ocean has a tide but a lake or pond does not. Also explain why there are two tides.
9. Be able to define neap tide and spring tide.
