Density Sandwich Lab
Objective: The objective of this lab is to observe the effects of density by combinining three substances of varying densities.
<br.
Materials:
1.) a graduated cylinder
2.) 3 pipets
3.) 3 solutions with different unknown densities
Procedure
1.) Gather all materials needed
2.) Calculate the density of the 3 solutions
3.) Tilt the graduated cylinder and add the solutions by inserting the pipet into the graduated cylinder (Hint: Use about 5ml of each solution)
4.) Try different combinations until the substances remain in distinct serperate layers
5.) Record the process used in each trial in the observation section below.
