Making Buffer Lab, Student Derived Directions

Part I : Buffers from Weak acid/base and salt of conjugate acid/base

You will develop your own directions to obtain 500.ml of a buffer solution from 1.0M acetic acid and sodium acetate with a pH of 4.14. As part of the lab write-up, you must show all calculations and then actually test the pH of the solution. Calculate percent error.

Do the same as above for a 1.0M ammonia solution (called ammonia water solution) and ammonium chloride. This pH should be at 9.86.
