The Periodic Table (PT) is organized so that you can "see" trends for specific physical/chemical properties as you:

a) Go Down a Column (also called Group or Family)

b) Across a row/period (from L to R on PT)

The properties are:

Coulombic Force (CF):

Definition: Attractive force between the positive nucleus and valence electrons (ve-). CF is a function:
a) Energy level of ve- (i.e. distance ve- is to nucleus). Higher energy level, less CF
b) # of ve-, more ve-, greater CF


Atomic Radii/size
