Yes, this is Mr. <nowiki>McLeod</nowiki> feable way of getting his students to remember the most basic concepts of all chemistry (except nuclear chemistry). So whenever the concepts are getting too hard to understand or the problems are getting too complex, just go back to these basics to help you figure out the answer to the problem. 
 
1- Definition of chemistry - not just study of matter but more correctly movement of valence electrons 
 
 
2 Laws - 
 
a. Law of Conservation of Mass - mass is neither created nor destroyed in a physical process or chemical reaction. 
Street Def - Mass In = Mass Out (by element) 
 
b. Law of Conservation of Energy (also called 1st Law of Thermodynamics) - energy is neither created nor destroyed in a physical process or chemical reaction.

3 Principles 
 
a. Coloumbic Force (CF) - like charges repel, different charges attract. 
 
b. Kinetic Molecular Theory (KMT) - all substance are made up of basic units ( I call them particles) that are in constant motion (therefore have energy) and sometimes interact with each other (one type is called Intermolecular Force, IMF). c. There is really no name for this one - All systems try to obtain (or move in the direction of) the "lower energy state" and the most disorder. (Real life application - look at your room, why is it so messy and everything on the floor) 
 
 
There you have it!!! All the general information to answer any chemistry question. Now, you just have to fill in the details!!!!!!
