The students will be able to:
1. State the four parts of Dalton's Atomic theory, know which parts have been updated and what the updates are.
2. From the A History of the Atom: Theories and Models table/figure:
a. Give the name of John Dalton's atomic model. The specifics are listed in #1 above.
b. J J Thomson, what the name of his Atomic model is, what he added to the understanding of the atom and what was incorrect about his theory/contribution.
c. Ernest Rutherford, what the name of his Atomic model is, what he added to the understanding of the atom and how his experiment results supported that understanding and what was incorrect about his theory/contribution.
d. Niels Bohr, what the name of his Atomic model is, what he added to the understanding of the atom and how his experiment results supported that understanding and what was incorrect about his theory/contribution. Also he explained how the atom relates with energy.
e. Erwin Schrodinger, what the name of his Atomic model is, what he added to the understanding of the atom and that it is the most correct model of the atom to date.
