Dilution Lab

Math equation for Dilution:

You are going to prepare 150.ml of a 0.450M "Kool Aid" solution (dilute solution) from a concentrated "Kool Aid" solution. If you added 7.0ml of the concentration solution. What will be the molarity of the concentrated solution.

Show work here

Directions

1. Mark your "dilute" plastic cup to 150.ml using the reference cup.

2. Pour out the correct volume of "concentrated" solution into your "dilute" plastic cup. You get the correct volume of "concentrated" from the "concentrated" reference cup.

3. Fill the "dilute" plastic cup up to correct volume using "cold" water.

4. Stir to make sure solution is mixed.

5. Drink and enjoy.
