3. (After looking at #12, 13, 14 on pg 192, 193, 194)A 39g sample of a gas contains 18g carbon and 21g nitrogen. What is the empirical formula?

4. (After looking at #15 pg 195) An unknown compound decomposes to produce 1.134g of solid iodine (I2) and 100 cm3 of hydrogen gas at standard temperature and pressure. What is the empirical formula of the compound?
