  • Handout Ch5 Chemical Names and Formulas package (if not already did it)
  • Differentiate between Molecular Cpds and Ionic cpds with respect to what cpds make up of, what hold it together, chemical formula means, and what types of elements usually are in each type of cpd. State special case of acid.
  • Name Binary Ionic Compounds

Homework:

• Pg101 of package Do Problem #7 and also name all compounds except b
• Highlight Section 5.9-5.11

• Day 2
  • Go over homework
  • Start Mole concept with relative mass scale and 1st Mole concept of mole to mass (#mole=#g/atomic mass)
  • Give out the other two types of ionic cpds rule handouts

  • Check and go over homework
  • Explain calculations for number and volume mole problems
