Questions On Rate Of Dissolving (Making A Solution)

ChemistryWiki | RecentChanges | Preferences

1. Explain why stirring or increase surface area of the solute (choose one) causes the rate of dissolving to increase.

2. Why is a solution close to its saturation point take longer to dissolve a given amount of solute than the same solution at a concentration less than saturated (at a concentration lower that saturated).

3. If I increase the rate of dissolving a solute into a solvent (to make a solution), does the amount of solute I can dissolve into a stated amount of solvent increase? Yes or no and explain.
