Day 1 (already did)
Day 2 (already did)
Day 3 (start 1st day back)
- Reviewed what learned before vacation aboutVSEPR
- Finish explanation of determine Molecular Geometry and how to fill in handout
HW:
a) Do 8 problems (not 1st two) of the Lewis Dot Structure homework
b) Read about Bond polarity and Molecular Polarity
c) Get readyHandouts given:
Day 4 (2nd class)
- Put them into 8 groups and each group explained one of the homework assignment.
- Walk around check to see if did homework
- Went over Percent yield and Limiting Reactant problems (when needed, definintion and stoichiometric amounts)
- Explained Bond polarity
HW:
1) Get ready for Lab quiz (next class) on Clock Lab, Hydrogen Peroxide Lab and LeChatlier's Principle Lab
2) Do 10 examples of bond polarity.
3) Completed Percent yield problem set (answer at bottom of webpage)
Handouts
Day 5
1) Take Lab Quiz
2) Go over last test
3) Go over Percent Yield homework and Bond Polarity homework
4) Handout MolecularPolarity notes and Worksheet for Molecular Polarity (all in Polarity and Intermolecular Force (IMF) and explained how to find Molecular Polarity and how to fill in Worksheet for Molecular Polarity.
HW:
1) Complete 8 (same problems as Molecular Geometry) problems to determine Molecular Polarity.
2) Handout and made read Lab on iron reacting with Copper (II) sulfate (limiting reactant and percent yield lab).
Day 6
1) Do lab
Day 7 (2nd day of lab)
1) Go over IMF from homework table so they can determine IMF from basic particle and then list them from strongest to weakest.
2) Have them weigh out their dried product/filter and go over calculations for Limiting Reactant problem.
3)
HW:
1) Limiting Reactant Problems
