2) Calculate stoichiometric problems that include mole, mass, volume, and number of particles for given substance and be able to calculate mole, mass, volume, and number of particles for desired substance.

2a) Be able to set-up and calculate One Step Stoichiometric problems (mole known substance to mole of unknown substance).

2b) Be able to set-up and calculate Two Step Stoichiometry problems including known substance's information (mass or volume) to moles of unknown substance or moles of known substance to unknown substance's information (mass or volume).

2c) Be able to set-up and calculate Stoichiometry problems (3 SteP?) problems including known substance's information (mass or volume) to unknown substance's information (mass or volume).

2020-2021 CP Objectives of Stoichiometry and Limiting Reactants

Essential Questions (EQ3): Do and/or how do basic particles interact - Rearrange?

The student should be able to:

1) Explain the significance of the coefficients ratio of a balanced chemical reaction (molar ratio, volume ratio)

3)For Limiting Reactant problems, be able to define what the limiting reactant and reactant "in excess" is. Also why is it important to know which reactant is limiting reactant when you are doing the stoichiometric problem.

4) For Limiting Reactant problems, be able to explain when you need to use a Limiting Reactant calculation.

5) For Limiting Reactant problems, be able to define what "stoichiometric amounts" mean with respect to stoichiometry.
