Pre-Lab Calculation Problem for Aluminum Foil Thickness Lab

Please answer the following problem showing all appropriate work (can use your Cheat sheet if need be):

1) A substance has a density of 3.15g/cm3. A 802g sample of this substance would have what volume (cm3).

2) Using the volume you calculated above, determine the thickness of the aluminum foil (assume it is a rectangular solid, V=(L)(W)(Th). The sample has a length of 4.29cm and a width of 7.39 cm. What is it thickness (assuming a rectangular solid geometry)? (Answer: 8.03cm)
