Revisions to Daltons Atomic Theory


  1. Atoms are not indivisible: There still are smaller particles than atoms. Atoms are made up of electrons, protons, and neutrons.
  2. Atoms can be changed from one element to another: But, these changes only ocurre in nuclear reactions, so there is no need to worry about that.
  3. Atoms of the same elements are not all exactly alike: They are all alike in the charectoristics that make atoms the same. Yet atoms can, and do have different masses.
