<center><b>Honors: Book Covering Lab</b></center><br> <i>Name / Period</i><br> <b>Directions</b><br> 1. Using the ruler, determine the height of the book. Record the height on the data table below.<br> 2. Add 2.00cm to both sides of the height of the book to determine the height of the book cover. Show work in calculation section (use appropriate sig fig,etc)<br> 3. Turn the book on its "back", open it up half way. While holding down the book, use a meter stick to determine the entire length of the book including the front cover, binding, and back cover. Record the length on the data table below.<br> 4. Add 5.00cm to sides of the length of the book to determine the length of the book cover. Show work in the calculation section.<br> 5. Cut the paper grocery bag so that you have a large rectangle. <br> 6. Using the ruler and meter stick, measure and then cut the appropriate size for the book cover.<br> 7. Fold over 2.00cm on top and bottom of cover and 5.00cm on left and right side. <br> 8. Put in book and tape (with masking tape) secure.<br> <br> <br> <b>Data Table</b><br> <br> 1.
