Turn on Vernier machine and put in volt probes. (reading should start showing volts once probe is plugged in correctly.<br> 2. In well plate add solution for anode into one well and the solution for the cathode in an adjacent well. <br> 3. Add in the solid metal electrodes into each well.<br> 4. Place one end of the "salt bridge" into each of the wells.<br> 5. Clip the ends (alligator clip) of the voltage probe onto the electrodes.<br> 6. Record the voltage reading in your lab notebook. If the voltage reading is negative, reverse the ends.<br> <br> <br>
