<b>For Chemical Naming and Mole Concept</b> Each student will be able to: #Differentiate between molecular and ionic compounds (cpd) on the basis of: ##material that composes the cpd ##bonding (including how valence electrons are interacting) ##the name for the chemical formula of each type ##the name of the smallest unit of the cpd #Naming Cpd ##Using only the chemical name, how you differentiate between the different types of cpds ##Using only the chemical formula, how you differentiate between the different types of cpds ##Determine the chemical formula from the chemical name for ionic cpds and molecular cpds. ##Determine the chemical name from the chemical formula for ionic cpds and molecular cpds. #Mole Calcuations ##Calculate the molar mass of ionic and molecular cpds ##Understand how to use the <b><nowiki>MOLE WHEEL (in your folder)</nowiki></b> ##Be able to use three Mole Equation. Calculate the moles from knowledge of the grams, # of particles, and volume (of a gas @<nowiki>STP</nowiki>)of elements, ionic cpds, or molecular cpds <nowiki>AND VISA VERSA</nowiki> <b>I call them One Step Problems</b> ##Calculate any grams, number of particles or volume (of a gas @<nowiki>STP</nowiki>) from any of the other information <b>I call them Two Step Problems</b>
