In chemistry, you will perform mathematical manipulation as a prediction of physical or chemical change. So, we need to explain how to solve math problems in chemistry.
There are two different ways, Dimensional Analysis (DA) or By Equation. There are certain time when you can not use an equation to solve a problem so you will need to do DA only (and visa versa).

The following are notes, examples and You Tube videos on How to Solve Math Problems in Chemistry by Dimensional Analysis and by Equation. So get and read the handouts, watch the video and take notes and then try the homework problems. One of the two problems will require you to solve it both ways. The answers are given to both problems.

Dimensional Analysis
*[[Dimensional Analysis Notes]] *[http://www.tmcleod.org/Level1/Chem328Intro/Chem328DimensionalAnalysisExamples.pdf Examples of Solving Problems via Dimensional Analysis] *[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fi_wMhZdySQ&feature=youtu.be You Tube video on How to Solve a Math Problem in Chemistry by Dimensional Analysis].
