Once in the group, each person will choose one of the 4 Gas Laws (that includes Avogadro's Hypothesis) to perform the task that are stated in each webpage. In general, these task include doing/recording a Demo, reading the online webpage notes (and if needed use the book reference), and complete the homework for that section. |
Once in the group, each person will choose one of the 4 Gas Laws (that includes Avogadro's Hypothesis) to perform the task that are stated in each webpage. If you only have 3 people in your group, then one person will do 2. In general, these task include doing/recording a Demo, reading the online webpage notes (and if needed use the book reference), and complete the homework for that section. |
3) Each person in the group will provide the following:
a) Title page of name of Law/hypothesis
b) What parameters are varying and which one are constant.
c) A word definition including if the variables are directly or indirectly proportional to each other
d) a separate slide (or more if necessary) explaining how you performed the Demo, results and how the results made you come up with word definition.
e) A separate slide of each of the 4 possible mathematical equation including defining variables.
f) A separate page referencing the overview of gas's steps for calculating gas problems and any specific issues you need to remember about this section.
g) A separate slide of an example of work for a homework assignment (including signing name at bottom of page
4) For the Combined Gas Law, the same information from above is needed but will not have a Demo AND it will be done by whole group (with all group members signing the page of work.
5) The file will be named as follows and will be shared (in Google) by everybody on the group and especially the teacher.
For example, a group will Bob Smith and John Doe in Period 4, the file name should be P4BSJDGasLaw
Grading
At a minimum, the Google slide presentation will be graded using your "Working a Group" rubric and the group grade will go into the "lab/project" category in your grades. Further details will be presented later.
Due Date
