2. [S2] = 5.18E-2 M

2. [S2]E = 5.18E-2 M

Remember: Need to Write Down First Balanced Chemical Reaction and Equilibrium Constant Expression

1. At 750degC, the following reaction reaches equilibrium in a 1-L container.
1 H2(g) + 1 CO2(g) <--> 1 H2O(g) + 1 CO(g)

At equilibrium, the 1-L flask contains 0.053moles hydrogen, 0.053moles carbon dioxide, 0.047moles water, and 0.047moles carbon monoxide. Calculate Keq for this reaction.

2.For the reaction , 2 H2S(g) <--> 2 H2(g) + S2(g)
Keq = 2.3E-4. If the equilibrium concentration of H2S and H2 are 0.15M and 0.010M, what is the equilibrium concentration of S2?

3. The reaction 2 SO2(g) + O2(g) <--> 2 SO3(g) is performed in a 0.50-L container. At equilibrium, 2.00 moles of SO3, 1.75moles of O2 and 3.25moles of SO2 are located in the container . What is the equilibrium constant (K)? (also include the units of K).

4. The reaction PCl5(g) <---> PCl3(g) + Cl2(g). At equilibrium, a 1.0-L gas vessel has 1.25moles of PCl3, 0.755moles of Cl2 and 2.45moles of PCl5. What is the equilibrium constant?

Answer:
1. K = 0.786 , no units
2. [S2]E = 5.18E-2 M
3. K = 0.108 M-1
4. K = 0.385 M
