Used Dry Ice
Let use play with the dry ice and several other items, figure something out about carbon dioxide
Filled aquarium with CO2 but could not see it . Will try it sometimes to show that CO2 gas is denser than air so it stays in the container.
Student make copies of a machine that made soap bubbles filled with CO2
Showed the triple point of CO2 using a pipette (have direction).
Modeling
Each proivded an example of modeling, I explained how I use an area surrounded by tables as the volume of a gas, students as gas particles, how fast they walk is their temperature and how many times they hit the wall is the pressure. Model the gas particle as a student and how the ideal gas works.
